This is a fun game to play supporting your work on colours and speaking and listening. There is a slide for each of the colours and 10 pictures on each slide. Children name the pictures and can say a phrase or sentence for each one. Colours are red, yellow, green, blue, orange, brown, silver, black and white, pink and purple and multicolours. Press and the answers will fly in on command. You could extend this activity by asking the children to write a list for each of the colours and the answers can then be checked. Children could work in pairs or small groups or on their own. The picture cards can also be printed and cut out and then sorted into colours or matched to the original slides.

The PPT is animated so that on a click, each square is removed to reveal the picture. You could ask children to read the words and describe what they might see or hear before the big reveal. You could also print off the cards and add them to your writing or dramatic play area. Laminate and the children could use them to trace the words with dry markers. Duplicate and you can use the cards for matching games.
